Bryndefaid Stud

The studs aim is to breed a type of Mountain Pony which is up to height and which will go on to excel in any of the ridden disciplines. To this end we have been very successful over the last 10 years with our ponies !

The highlight for us being the Supreme M&M Mini Championship at HOYS in 2002 with Bryndefaid Patsy, we have also had great success in Lead Rein with Bryndefaid Pingu, Bryndefaid Picasso, Bryndefaid Pugsley, Bryndefaid Anja, and Bryndefaid Amos. In 1st Ridden with Bryndefaid Annwyld, Bryndefaid Bostyn, Bryndefaid Doli-Glwt and in open ridden and workers with Bryndefaid Amethyst, Bryndefaid Dylan Thomas, Bryndefaid Diafol-Coch, Bryndefaid Angus, Bryndefaid Arran, Bryndefaid Hansel, Bryndefaid Barnaby and Bryndefaid Hamish. We would like to thank all those who have shown our ponies over the years, for choosing Bryndefaid and helping establish our success.

We have finally branched out in Section B's with Catherine having grown it was time to make a move into something bigger! We have been very fortunate in finding Cadlan Valley Sandpiper, he is a 7/8th brother to the Royal Welsh Youngstock champion Cadlan Valley Georgette, being out of Stockham Domino who was herself a champion under saddle. Sammy (as he is known) was broken over the winter by Katy Marriott-Payne who produced him and Bryndefaid St. Andrew this season. Thanks go to Katy, Jo and the team for a great job.
